I’m very excited about the jcuda library. As a Java-Programmer but complete C-Dummy with a new graphic card that is no more supported by CUDA 5.5 and a 64-bit Windows-OS, I am very keen on the next step of your great work. Very, very cool!
There are cards that are NOT supported with CUDA 5.5? Actually, this should not be the case. Which card is this?
In any case, I hope that I can do the final update to CUDA 6.0 soon. I’ve been rather busy recently. Most of the work for “core” CUDA should already have been done for the RC, but the updates for JCudpp/JNpp and the “Xt” libraries will involve quite some work.
Thank you for the super fast reply. My card is a “Quadro K5100M”. I think the RC-implementation would do for me. Is there a version running on 64bit Windows 8.1?
From where did you get the information that this does not work with CUDA 5.5? The „mobility“ versions of the CUDA cards (indicated by the „M“) sometimes made problems, but only during the earliest (1.x) CUDA versions. The current ones should be OK.
ATM, there is no 64bit version of the RC yet. I had some problems installing the CUDA 6 RC on the Win64 machine. The error message was: „There was an error“ Well… I may try a different machine, but would rather try to continue with the 6.0 (final) version soon.
I tried installing CUDA 5.5 but the installer said it could not find a supported graphic card. Installation of CUDA 6 worked without a problem.
That’s strange. But the Installer is quite a “black box” (as mentioned above), so I don’t know how to tackle this.
However, I’ll try to do the update for 6.0 (final) ASAP, but can’t tell a specific date (I first have to check the final version, and see what has to be updated)
